Safety Precautions for H-Beam Storage
Before the H-shaped steel is stored, we must be cautious to prevent contamination and rain damage. For steel that has been soiled or exposed to rain, we need to clean it according to different methods. For low-hardness steel, a cloth or cotton can be used to wipe it clean, while for high-hardness steel, a wire brush may be necessary.
After storage, we need to regularly inspect for any signs of rust. We should scrape the rust from the surface of the H-beams thoroughly, without applying oil. However, for good steel, thin-walled pipes, alloy steel pipes, and alloy thin steel plates, rust removal should be followed by coating both the inner and outer surfaces with anti-rust oil before storage. For severely rusted steel, it is not advisable to store it for long periods after rust removal, so it should be used as soon as possible.
