Channel steel is primarily used in building structures, curtain wall projects, machinery and equipment manufacturing, and vehicle production.
Channel steel is a long strip steel with a concave cross-section, classified as carbon structural steel for construction and machinery use. It is a type of steel with a complex cross-section, characterized by its concave shape.
At the same height, light steel channels are narrower, thinner, and lighter in weight compared to standard steel channels.18-40 sizes are large flange beams, while 5-16 sizes are medium flange beams. Imported flange beams are marked with actual dimensions and relevant standards.
Channel steel import and export orders are generally placed after determining the corresponding carbon structural steel (or low-alloy steel) grades, primarily based on the specifications required for use. Besides the specification numbers, channel steel does not have specific composition and property series.
The delivery length of channel steel is divided into fixed length and multiple length options, with permissible tolerance values specified in the relevant standards. The length selection range of domestic channel steel varies according to the specification number.Three sizes available: 5'-12m, 5'-19m, and 6'-19m. The length selection range for imported channel steel typically is 6'-15m.
