The winch-type gate operator is a specialized closing device designed for operating rapid gates. Rapid gates are used to protect machinery units or steel pipes, hanging above the opening during normal operation. In the event of an accident with the generator, pump, or steel pipe, they can quickly cut off the water flow to prevent the accident from escalating. The closing time of the rapid gate should meet the protection requirements for the machinery unit and steel pipe, generally requiring the closing device to close the rapid gate within 2 minutes. Additionally, to prevent damage to the bottom edge of the gate and the lower sill due to violent collisions, the rapid winch gate operator should be equipped with a speed-limiting device, restricting the descent speed to 5m/min when approaching the lower sill. However, there are no speed restrictions during the descent process, as long as it does not cause damage to the operator's components.
