The winch-type gate operator is a specialized closing device designed for operating rapid gates. Rapid gates are used to protect machinery units or steel pipes, hanging above the aperture during normal operation. In the event of an accident with generators, pumps, or steel pipes, they can quickly cut off the water flow to prevent the accident from escalating. The closing time of the rapid gate should meet the protection requirements for the machinery unit and steel pipes, generally requiring the operator to close the rapid gate within 2 minutes. Additionally, to prevent damage to the bottom edge of the gate and the lower sill due to violent collisions, the rapid winch operator should be equipped with a speed limiter to restrict the descent speed to 5m/min when approaching the lower sill. However, there are no speed restrictions during the descent process, as long as it does not cause damage to the operator's components.
