The winch-type gate operator is a specialized closing device designed for operating rapid gates. Rapid gates are used to protect equipment or steel pipes, hanging above the opening during normal operation. In the event of an accident with the generator, pump, or steel pipe, they can quickly cut off the water flow to prevent the accident from escalating. The closing time of the rapid gate should meet the protection requirements for the equipment and steel pipes, typically requiring the operator to close the rapid gate within 2 minutes. Additionally, to prevent damage to the bottom edge and threshold of the gate due to violent collisions, the rapid winch gate operator should be equipped with a speed-limiting device, limiting the descent speed to 5m/min when approaching the threshold. However, there are no speed restrictions during the descent process, as long as it does not cause damage to the operator's components.
