CNAS Laboratory Accreditation Hardware Requirements

I. Personnel:

1. Laboratory managers, technical supervisors, quality supervisors, and heads of all departments should have appointment documents.

2. Personnel engaged in testing or calibration activities in a laboratory shall not engage in similar testing or calibration activities in other laboratories of the same type.

3. Educational Requirements for Personnel Engaged in Inspection/Calibration Activities: Should hold a college degree or above in a relevant science and engineering field; degrees in unrelated disciplines or liberal arts are generally not accepted unless the candidate has over 10 years of relevant inspection/calibration experience.

4. The authorized signatory should be familiar with all relevant recognition requirements of CNAS and possess an intermediate level or above (inclusive of intermediate).

Technical title or equivalent capability.

　　Note: Equivalent ability refers to meeting the following conditions:

a. Over 7 years of technical work experience after completing a college degree

b. Bachelor's degree, with over 5 years of relevant experience

c. Master's degree or above, with over 2 years of relevant experience

5. Laboratory for chemical analysis with specific requirements for authorized signatories: must have a background in chemistry, a bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant work experience or an associate's degree with 10 years of relevant work experience.

Technical Lead Requirement: The laboratory technical manager must include at least one member with extensive knowledge and experience in the chemical testing scope applied for or already recognized. The member should hold a bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry or a closely related field (hereinafter referred to as chemistry and related) and possess over five years of work experience in chemical testing.

6. The laboratory should ensure that its personnel receive timely training. Inspectors should pass the qualification examination and obtain a certificate before taking office.

7. The required number of lab personnel is generally around 8 to 10 (including management, testing, and support staff).

Section II: Equipment Configuration

1. Configure equipment based on the requirements of the testing items and standards.

2. Equipment files must be complete.

Section 3: Application Standard Method

　　Prioritize the application of national standards, international standards, industry standards, and foreign standards.

IV. Environmental and Facility Requirements:

1. The most basic requirement is to separate the inspection area from the office area, and the laboratory must be controlled.

2. The testing functions must not interfere with each other.
