CNAS Lab Certification Services, 17025 Certification Services, Over 4,000 Successful Cases
The CNAS Laboratory National Accreditation Certificate is valid for 6 years. During this period, CNAS will arrange for regular supervision and re-evaluation reviews to ensure that the laboratory's technical capabilities meet CNAS requirements for operation. Specific requirements are as follows:
5.3.1Regular supervision and review
5.3.1.1 Laboratories newly approved for recognition must undergo regular supervision and evaluation arranged by CNAS within 12 months of the approval. The focus of these regular supervision evaluations is to verify the maintenance of the management system of the recognized laboratory and compliance with recognition regulations.
Note: No regular supervisory reviews will be scheduled between the two re-evaluations.
5.3.1.2 For laboratories with multiple locations that have been granted approval, regular supervision and evaluation should cover all sites. For laboratories that have been granted recognition for testing, calibration, and certification capabilities simultaneously, regular supervision and evaluation should cover the testing field, calibration field, and certification field concurrently.
5.3.1.3 Regular supervision and review are conducted through on-site assessments, and there is no need for laboratories with approved recognition to submit an application. The review requirements and on-site assessment procedures are the same as for the initial recognition. If non-conformities are found during the supervision review, the assessed party shall implement corrections after clear rectification requirements are provided. If necessary, draft and implement corrective actions, with the completion period for corrections/corrective actions generally being 2 months. For serious non-conformities, completion should be achieved within 1 month. The assessment team shall verify the effectiveness of the corrections/corrective actions. The costs for the verification activities, including assessment fees and related expenses, shall be borne by the assessed laboratory. If a laboratory with approved recognition fails to complete the corrections/corrective actions on time due to its own reasons or if the corrections/corrective actions do not pass the verification, CNAS may decide to suspend, reduce the scope of, or revoke the recognition, depending on the circumstances.
Therefore, it is crucial for the laboratory/detection center to ensure solid foundational work before applying for recognition. It is imperative to seek a CNAS laboratory certification service provider. This is the only way to truly enhance the laboratory's technical capabilities and management level.
