There are specific requirements for the bonding adhesive when reinforcing a building, as it is a vital component of the reinforcement construction.
Reinforcement epoxy not only needs to be of high quality but also should be used in conjunction with reinforcing materials. So, how do you choose the appropriate reinforcement epoxy for the reinforcement process? Let's dive in and find out:
One, Performance of Reinforcement Adhesive The performance of the reinforcement adhesive is a crucial factor to consider when making a purchase. There are many substandard reinforcement adhesives on the market, which do not yield satisfactory construction results. Only high-quality reinforcement adhesives can ensure the effectiveness of the reinforcement and reinforcement process.

Apply the primer evenly to the concrete surface using a roller brush. After the adhesive cures (curing time depends on the site temperature, touch dry as a standard), proceed to the next stage. The usual curing time is 2-3 days. Leveling. Fill in concave areas of the concrete surface and fill in the areas with height differences, such as at template joints, to minimize height differences. At the corners, also process into smooth circular arcs with a radius not less than 30mm. Bond carbon fiber fabric. Cut the carbon fiber fabric to the required size and number of layers according to the design specifications. Mix and apply the surface adhesive (same method as the primer), then apply it evenly to the areas to be bonded, applying more to overlaps and concrete corners. Bond the carbon fiber fabric, remove the release paper after confirming the bonding area, and roll it repeatedly along the fiber direction with a special roller to remove bubbles and ensure the adhesive is fully absorbed into the fabric. Repeat the above steps for multi-layer bonding, and proceed to the next layer when the surface of the fiber fabric is touch dry. Apply the surface adhesive evenly to the surface of the last layer of carbon fiber fabric. The overlap length of the fabric along the fiber direction should not be less than 100mm. Secure the ends of the fabric with transverse fiber fabric or steel adhesive for protection and reinforcement. The surface of the reinforced fiber fabric should be protected with plaster or fire-retardant paint.
