1. In terms of screw form, electric actuators are mainly composed of standard trapezoidal screws and rolling ball screws; electric cylinders are primarily made up of ground ball screws and planetary ball screws.
2. In terms of the connection form with the motor: electric actuators mostly use gear, turbine, and worm drives, which are less efficient; the majority of electric cylinders are directly connected to the motor via couplings or synchronous belt pulleys, resulting in high efficiency.
3. In terms of line speed: The speed of electric actuators is generally <100mm/s; the speed of electric cylinders can reach up to 2m/s.
4. Precision: AC electric actuator precision is 0.1-0.2mm, DC electric actuator precision is 1-2mm; the precision of electric cylinders is 0.01-0.02mm.
5. From the control perspective: Electric actuators typically can only control the 0 point and stroke positions (the middle position can also be controlled by a servo motor or stepper motor, but it is quite麻烦); electric cylinders can start and stop at any position.
