PPR piping offers excellent environmental friendliness; its raw material molecules consist solely of carbon and hydrogen, without any harmful or toxic elements. It is also extremely hygienic, suitable not only for hot and cold water pipelines but also for pure drinking water systems.
YongGao PP-R Installation Precautions:
1. PP-R pipes have lower hardness and rigidity than metal pipes, so they should be protected during handling and construction to prevent mechanical damage from inappropriate external forces. After being buried underground, the location of the pipes should be marked to avoid damage during subsequent renovations.
2. PP-R pipes exhibit certain low-temperature brittleness below 5°C. Caution is required during winter installation, and pipes should be cut with a sharp, slow cut. Avoid heavy pressure and striking on installed pipes; cover vulnerable areas with protective materials if necessary.
3. PP-R pipes are prone to aging and degradation when exposed to UV radiation for extended periods. They must be wrapped with a dark protective layer when installed outdoors or in direct sunlight.
4. PP-R pipes should be connected to metal pipes or water appliances using threaded inserts or flanges, etc., for mechanical connections. For the rest, hot melt connections should be used to integrate the piping system, ensuring no leakage points.

5. The linear thermal expansion coefficient of PP-R pipes is relatively high (0.15mm/m℃). Technical measures to prevent pipe expansion and deformation must be taken when the pipes are installed exposed or non-directly buried in conduits.
6. After pipeline installation, pressure testing is required before sealing (direct burial) or covering with decorative layers (non-direct burial concealed). The pressure testing pressure for cold water pipes is 1.5 times the system working pressure, but not less than 1MPa; for hot water pipes, it is twice the working pressure, but not less than 1.5MPa. The duration and method of pressure testing are as specified by the technical regulations.
7. When laying PP-R pipes either above ground or non-buried underground, it is mandatory to install supports and hangers according to regulations.
8. Cool to the specified time, then complete the connection.
PPR hot water pipes are commonly used for heating connections and can also be applied in hot water heater pipelines; they are frequently chosen for household piping due to their resistance to high temperatures and pressures.
