What is SRRC Certification?

Model Approval, commonly referred to as SRRC certification, is a mandatory national certification aimed at distinguishing civilian frequency bands within the wireless spectrum. It involves technical management of spectrum parameters and technical standards during the research, development, production, import, and acquisition stages of radio transmission equipment before they are put into use. As of June 1, 1999, all radio component products sold and used within the country must obtain radio model approval certification. Radio transmission equipment produced, sold, and used domestically must undergo model approval, receive approval certificates and model approval codes, and the model approval code must be marked on the label of the出厂 equipment.

Radio transmission equipment produced, sold, and used in China must undergo model approval, receive an approval certificate and model approval code, and the model approval code must be marked on the label of the出厂 equipment.

SRRC Certification Application Requirements:

1. Test Samples: 3 sets of engineering prototypes + 1 finished product

Certification Cycle: 5 Weeks (5weeks)

Certificate Validity: 5 years

SRRC certification required documents:

1. Approval Application Form for Radio Transmission Equipment Models Requires Corporate Legal Representative's Signature and Seal

2. Approval of radio transmission model authorization requires the signature and seal of the corporate legal representative.

3. User manuals, technical handbooks, circuit diagrams, PCB layouts, and numbering diagrams

4. RF Line Attenuation Explanation, Antenna Gain Explanation

5. Drives and Software (If computer control is required, please provide)

6. Equipment Photos (6 sides, top and bottom of the mainboard, without the shielding cover, showcasing the applicant unit, equipment name, model, serial number, structural dimensions, and CMIIT ID)

7. The Corporate Legal Person Business License requires stamping, as does the company's profile (production capacity, technical strength, quality control).

8. Copy of the Quality Management System Certificate (i.e., ISO Certificate) and Annual Production Status Form for Radio Enterprises (not required for Guangdong Province or overseas enterprises)

Q1: Under what circumstances is preliminary review by the Provincial Radio and Television Administration required, and what is the typical duration?

Each year, the product must undergo an initial review by the Provincial Commission, with the review period being related to the Provincial Commission in the company's location. The testing period typically spans 5 working days.
