2. TELEC is Japan's mandatory certification for wireless products, somewhat analogous to China's SRRC. It adheres to Japan's Radio Law. The specific testing specifications are in accordance with MIC (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications of Japan) Notice No. 88 regulations.
3. The testing items for WiFi and Bluetooth products are basically similar to the European standard EN300 328. For 2.4GHz WiFi products (802.11b/g, 2412~2472 MHz) and Bluetooth products, the standard used is MIC Notice No. 88 Annex 43. However, for the 14th channel of 2.4GHz WiFi products (Channel 14: 2471~2497 MHz), a separate Annex 44 is required for testing and reporting.
4. The testing standards for 5GHz WiFi products (802.11a, 5180~5320MHz, W52 Band and W53 Band) are in accordance with Annex 45; however, it's important to note that documents indicate the MIC will soon revise Annex 45 to include 5.6GHz devices (Band W56) and impose stricter DFS testing requirements for the Band 56 frequency band.

TELEC Certification Process:
TELEC Certification for WLAN and Bluetooth Products
TELEC is Japan's mandatory certification for wireless products, somewhat akin to China's SRRC. It adheres to Japan's Radio Law. The specific test specifications follow the MIC (Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications) Notice No. 88 regulations.
The testing projects for WiFi and Bluetooth products are basically similar to the European standard EN300 328.
Among our 2.4GHz WiFi products (802.11b/g, 2412~2472 MHz) and Bluetooth products, the standard used is MIC Notice No.88 Annex 43; however, for the 14 channels of the 2.4GHz WiFi products,
Bluetooth Product TELEC Certification Testing Project:
Frequency Error Measurement
2. Coupled Bandwidth/Spread-spectrum Bandwidth and Factor Testing
3. Unwanted Emission Intensity Measurement
4. Antenna Power Error Measurement
5. Limitation of Collateral Emission of Receiver Measurement Test
6. EIRP Antenna Power Measurement (Transmission Antenna Gain Testing)
7. 3dB Beamwidth Transmission Radiation Angle Width Measurement
8. Duty Cycle Testing
9. Retention Time Test
TELEC Certification Cycle
The TELEC certification process takes 3-4 weeks.
