As of November 20, 2009, the Eco Design Directive EuP has been replaced by the new Energy-related Products Directive (ErP) 2009/125/EC. The original Eco Design Directive for energy consumption products only covered energy-intensive appliances such as microwaves, washing machines, or televisions. In addition to the products covered by the original EuP directive, the new ErP directive also includes energy-related products that do not directly use energy, such as double-glazed windows, faucets, and showerheads.
