Project Introduction
Dustproof testing is a method used to detect the effectiveness of electrical and electronic products, auto and motorcycle parts, and seals in preventing dust from entering the seals and enclosures in a sandy dust environment. It determines the impact of suspended sand dust in the air on products. This test is conducted to evaluate the performance of electronic electrical products, auto, motorcycle parts, and seals in terms of usage, storage, and transportation in sandy dust environments.
Dustproof rating
IEC/EN60529 dust protection is divided into 7 levels (Level 0 to Level 6), with dust protection ratings (e.g., IP5X - Dust Protection Level 5)
Level 0: No Dust Protection
Level 1: Protects against foreign objects with a diameter greater than 50mm from falling into the equipment.
Level 2: Protects against foreign objects larger than 12.5mm from entering the equipment.
Level 3: Protects against foreign objects with a diameter greater than 2.5 mm from entering the equipment.
Level 4: Protects against foreign objects with a diameter larger than 1.00 mm from entering the equipment.
Level 5: Dust may not be completely prevented from entering, but the amount of dust that does enter must not interfere with the normal operation of the equipment or affect safety.
Level 6: Dustproof
