Installation Precautions for Insulated Water Tanks

Insulated water tanks can be installed on flat roofs, ground levels, or in residential series. They can also be placed on outdoor balconies, indoor kitchens, bathrooms, and other locations.

The insulation water tank should be installed in a location convenient for drain outlet drainage. The hot water tank should be as close as possible to the water usage point and the main unit installation to minimize pipeline heat loss.

Flooring engineering: Regardless of size, water tanks must be placed on unfamiliar beams. For tanks over 5 tons, customers are required to provide a load-bearing foundation. The load-bearing capacity of the foundation should be greater than twice the weight of the tank after it is filled with water. When the floor is wide or the water tank is large, it is recommended that customers divide the tank into multiple positions on the load-bearing beams (in normal circumstances, a single round tank should not exceed 10 tons, and a single square tank should not exceed 20 tons).

Insulation water tanks should be placed with stainless steel mirror-like reflective surfaces on the rooftop, as to minimize impact on the surrounding office or living environment.

Insulated water tanks must be installed on a level foundation at least 150mm in height. The placement of the tank should not affect the surrounding residents.

The foundation for the insulated water tank must be on a level surface, and there should be no water accumulation on the foundation plane. If a support frame made of I-beams or channel steel is used, the tank placement must be supported by a flat steel plate.

Cylindrical thermal-insulated water tanks should be placed upright; horizontal positioning is not recommended.

The installation and maintenance space around the water tank should be more than 600mm.

Due to the centrifugal pump's suction capacity, the water tank's installation should not be lower than the unit, and considering the limited head, it should also not be too high above the unit. If conditions permit, they can be placed at the same level.
