Corrosion resistance
Most stainless steel products require good corrosion resistance. Seamless steel pipes are similar to I and II class tableware, kitchenware, water heaters, drinking water machines, and so on. Some foreign merchants also conduct corrosion resistance tests on the products: using a warm NaCl solution heated to boiling, then allowing the solution to dry out, wash and dry, and determining the weight loss to ascertain the degree of corrosion.
Welding Processability
Welding performance requirements vary by product. Most tableware, even some pot manufacturers, do not require welding capabilities. However, many products necessitate high-quality welding properties in raw materials, such as second-class tableware, thermal mugs, steel pipes, water heaters, and water dispensers.
Polishability
Currently, stainless steel products are generally polished during the production process, with only a few products such as water heaters and water filter linings not requiring polishing. Therefore, this requires good polishing properties of the raw materials. The main factors affecting polishing performance are as follows:
1. Surface defects of raw materials, such as scratches, pockmarks, and immersion.
2. Seamless steel tube raw material issue. The hardness is too low, making it difficult to polish during the polishing process (BQ not good). The low hardness also causes the surface to easily develop orange peel effects during deep drawing, affecting BQ performance. High-hardness BQ is relatively better.
After deep drawing, the surface of the area with greater deformation will also show small black spots and high R&DING, which will affect the BQ properties.
