Luhui stone boasts load-bearing capacity, excellent compressive strength, and good grinding and extensibility. Below are some methods for maintaining Luhui stone.
Material Dryness – Requires Two Uses, Drain Water from Existing Lü Grey Stone Seams; Generally, Use a Heating Lamp for Drying, But Natural Air Drying is Often Sufficient.
This option is also cost-effective, saving expenses.
2. Filling the Stone Joints -- This step is extremely crucial. The method of filling joints is a primary solution to prevent water seepage through stone cracks. The material used for filling the gaps should generally be of high quality, and there are many eco-friendly joint fillers available on the market to choose from.
3. Waterproofing and Protection for Luhui Stone – Many clients proactively request waterproofing and protection for Luhui stone to prevent future water stain contamination. Those familiar with stone care understand the reasons behind the discoloration of original protective coatings, hence the necessity of selecting high-quality waterproofing agents. We conduct surveys and tests on identical stone samples to evaluate the efficiency of waterproofing and protection. Only after experimentation can we proceed with large-scale protective treatments for the ground. It's also important to avoid overbrushing and ensure no missed spots, allowing the coating to dry naturally.
4. Rust Yellow Treatment for Luhui Stone - First, use steel wool to sand down the areas with severe rust spots, removing the surface rust, and then use a specialized marble rust remover for rust removal. The rust removal process is as follows:
Apply paint to the yellowed areas, cover with protective film, allow for a 24-hour curing period, then clean with a neutral detergent and rinse with water before drying.
5. Lu Grey Stone Polishing - Since the Lu Grey boards have already been waterproofed, the discoloration caused by the Lu Grey stone is initially not smoothed out for polishing. Instead, we first use steel wool to gently abrade and grind away the discoloration layer on the surface of the Lu Grey stone, revealing the original color beneath.
