1010/1015 carbon steel balls are a common type of steel ball, characterized by their low price and high hardness, with a wide range of applications. Typically used in bicycles, bearings, pulleys, slides, craft items, shelves, swivel balls, luggage, small hardware, and can also be used for abrasive purposes on other mediums.

Features:

Magnetic, with a ferrite microstructure, commonly packed in oil, typically requires electroplating for external exposure; available in zinc, gold, nickel, chrome, etc. High wear resistance, HRC 50-55.

Comparison:

Compared to ball bearings made of bearing steel, carbon steel balls have lower wear resistance and hardness (GCR15 ball hardness is HRC60-66): therefore, their service life is relatively shorter.
