Small Swing-Type Granule Machine: Maintenance Tips for Daily Use

The granules produced by the small swing-type granulator have low powder content, are easy to operate, have simple control, and offer a long service life, meeting GMP requirements. Poor flowability of the powder is prone to cause cracking and significant weight variation in the tablets. Therefore, granules are made before pressing. Both Western and Chinese medicine granulation generally uses this type of machine due to its excellent flowability and uniform tablet weight.

This product is capable of transforming wet powders into granules and is also used for粉碎 (crushing) and dispersion of fragile, loose, and brittle materials in bar or irregular shapes, serving as a preliminary process for powder grinding. It boasts three functions—granulation, crushing, and spreading—enabling multi-functional use with a single machine.

Daily maintenance and care for the small oscillating granule machine should be as follows:

(1) Machine Lubrication: Lubrication Cycle: ①General machinery parts should be oiled once every three days; ②Rolling bearings should be added with No.1 calcium-based grease every three months.

(2) Machine Maintenance

1) Maintenance Schedule: ① Electric motor: inspect once a month; ② Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the machine after each shift.

2) Maintenance Content: ①Regularly inspect the insulation resistance and zero connection reliability of each component and control circuit in the electrical system to ensure electrical safety; ②Regularly inspect the mechanical parts (once a month), checking for smooth operation and wear of components such as worm gears, worm shafts, and bearings, and promptly repair any defects; do not continue to use them; ③Before starting the equipment, lubricate all transmission parts once, and add oil during operation according to the operation status of each part; ④The worm gear box must store oil for a long time, with the oil level fully submerging the worm gear; when continuously using the machine, change the oil every three months; ⑤Before operation, the equipment should be run empty to confirm normal operation and good lubrication before proceeding with regular operation; ⑥After a single use of the small swing-type granulator or when shutting down, remove the rotating drum for cleaning and brush out any remaining powder in the hopper, then securely reinstall it for next use; ⑦If the machine is not in use for an extended period, it must be thoroughly cleaned.
