Global dependence on critical rare earth elements (REEs) has never been more severe. However, the ability to accurately analyze these elements on-site has always been limited. Traditional portable XRF devices with a 50kV X-ray tube can measure light rare earths, but due to insufficient excitation, there is significant spectral overlap with the identification spectra of common metals (such as iron, copper, nickel), making it difficult to measure heavy rare earths.

The Power-House portable XRF, the world's first with an 80kV X-ray tube, can effectively excite K-layer radiation from light and heavy rare earth elements. By analyzing these high-energy K lines, complex spectral overlaps with common metals can be completely avoided, achieving detection limits and outperforming other portable XRFs in performance.
