Excessive bearing temperature is a common and serious fault in mining machinery. If the cause is unknown and not properly handled, it often results in double the effort for half the result, reducing the lifespan of the bearing, increasing maintenance costs, and even leading to bearing burnout.

Lubrication significantly impacts the lifespan of Shenyang Bearings, as well as factors like friction, wear, and vibration. Good lubrication is a necessary condition for the normal operation of bearings. Statistics show that about 40% of bearing failures are related to poor lubrication.

Bearings, as crucial components, are used in a wide range of machinery, large and small. Some machines, such as crushers, operate in dusty environments. When fine dust particles enter the high-speed rotating bearing housing, it leads to the deterioration of the lubricating oil or grease inside, resulting in poor lubrication and subsequently causing wear on the bearings.

Commonly used for light and medium-load bearings with circumferential speeds less than 4-5 m/s, a roughly quantified lubricating oil is supplied through holes, needles, valves, etc. The classic method is the drip oil cup, where the amount of oil drip varies significantly with the viscosity of the lubricating oil, the bearing clearance, and the position of the oil supply hole.

Bearing lubrication is a continuous task, with the oil change cycle depending on the bearing's operating conditions and the amount of oil. Generally, in a good environment with low dust and operating temperatures below 50°C, the oil should be changed once a year. When the oil temperature reaches 100°C, it must be changed every three months or less.

Bearings can have a long service life when used correctly; premature damage is often due to incorrect selection, improper use, or inadequate lubrication.

During bearing installation, we must record the machine type, installation location, operating conditions, and surrounding fit. By studying and summarizing the types of bearing damage, the operating environment at the time of issues, we aim to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
