The fire of July brings lush greenery. On the morning of July 23, 2022, the New Material Company successfully held its mid-year work report and development promotion meeting in the Research Institute's conference room. The company's top management, division leaders of the holding companies, and all staff gathered to listen to the work reports from department leaders, especially General Manager Li Zhengbin, and engaged in serious planning and discussion regarding future work. President Li Ainmin of the Research Institute personally attended the meeting and gave important instructions for the company's future work.

In the first half of the year, amidst the continuous impact of the pandemic and the volatile market conditions, our company's employees, united and striving, achieved impressive results. The contract amount reached nearly 12 million yuan, with both the received and invoiced amounts showing significant increases compared to the same period last year. We have conducted thorough rectifications for various issues in contract management, financial management, and production management, strengthened and improved the system of regulations, and strictly enforced safety management, fostering a harmonious and positive atmosphere. In the second half of the year, the company will comprehensively advance in project acceptance, capital recovery, talent recruitment, and in-depth research and development, formulating practical action plans around annual goals.

Chairman Liang Ying, while acknowledging the company's achievements in the first half of the year, emphasized three key requirements for future work. First, we must further strengthen the construction of standardization and normalization. We need to establish a practical and feasible operational specification and standard system as soon as possible in areas such as process design, construction, final acceptance, product technical specifications, contract performance, and capital recovery. Second, we must increase our efforts in innovation, including: material research and development, process equipment, innovative sales of materials under the market system, and innovative sales of process packages and equipment. In product development, we must scientifically analyze the current market dynamics in China, focus on research and development priorities, enter new tracks, and concentrate on the new demands of the industry. We aim for new breakthroughs in the pharmaceutical and new energy sectors and prevent homogenization. Third, we must further strengthen safety and risk management. Safety encompasses not only laboratory, production process, and installation construction safety but also the safety of capital recovery in contract signing and performance, intellectual property rights safety. We must learn to scientifically allocate resources to ensure that our products and process equipment cannot be easily imitated.

HuaChuang Company's Deputy General Manager, Chen Biao, emphasized in his speech that for a company to survive and thrive, it must first prioritize profitability. Achieving good results requires a series of well-established systems to ensure them. Our regulations and policies should be widely promoted and studied among employees, ensuring everyone understands their rights and obligations. Secondly, we must strive to foster a positive corporate culture, nurturing a spirit of shared hardship and risk-taking among the team. We must lead with innovation, collaborate to overcome challenges, and address existing issues such as product stability, process equipment, and technical improvements. We should set a timeline and roadmap for completing tasks through project management. Thirdly, we must boost morale, focusing on achieving the annual goals and objectives. We must refine and organize each project, carefully calculate costs, and pursue maximum profit, avoiding blind optimism. Lastly, the company's future development must have a clear goal, and similarly, each employee should have a personal work goal for the next 3-5 years. Everyone should act in the company's best interest, align with job requirements, identify gaps, and clarify their direction of effort.

Dr. Li Aimin issued important instructions. As the new material company has reached this stage of development, it is crucial to seriously summarize and refine our experiences, insights, and reflect on the issues and shortcomings in our work. This is vital for the company's future development. President Li emphasized three key points. First, we must have our own core technology. Core technology is the foundation for a company to survive and thrive in fierce market competition. With our high-tech products that possess intellectual property rights, some were developed 20 years ago by our predecessors. It is essential to ensure product performance stability and establish our own standard systems under the new market demands; to standardize and normalize equipment; to select new products, determine new R&D goals, and formulate scientific R&D plans to achieve continuous product innovation; and to rely on the advantages of Nanjing University's technology and talent, especially by fully leveraging the collaborative cultivation of graduate student teams, strengthening R&D project cooperation with mentors and graduate students, etc., all of which are important means to enhance our core competitiveness and intensify technological innovation. Second, the company must seriously implement standardized and institutionalized management in its operations, summarize experience and lessons, and carefully research and control aspects such as project selection, contract drafting, cash flow management, and cost control. We must focus on示范engineering projects, striving to create a monument for each project. Third, we need to strengthen the company's cultural construction, do a good job with the Party and League work, and enhance the cohesion and centripetal force of all employees. Institutional construction is an important part of cultural construction. The company's operations, safety risk prevention, and the operation of individual rights all rely on strong systems for protection. We must conduct regular legal and institutional norms education and publicity for all employees.
