On March 15th, in the afternoon, the New Material Company held a safety meeting. Comrade Qian Ming, the Deputy General Manager and Deputy Head of the Safety Work Group, comprehensively summarized the company's safety work over the past year. Although a responsibility system was established, regulations were improved, and job responsibilities were implemented, there are still many issues, mainly manifested in the general weakness of safety awareness, lack of regular inspections and follow-ups for safety responsibilities, and gaps in certain areas, such as the management of drug warehouses, which resulted in penalties during inspections by higher authorities. It is hoped that everyone will reflect deeply, plug the gaps, equip with the necessary equipment, fill in the shortcomings, and strictly implement the safety work as required.
At the meeting, General Manager and Head of the Company's Safety Work Group, Comrade Li Zhengbin, along with Production Department Head Qian Ming, Laboratory/Pharmacy Warehouse/Hazardous Waste Warehouse Head Guo Peng, and Sales Department Head Wang Yadong, among others, signed the safety responsibility statement.
Finally, Comrade Li Zhengbin outlined several requirements for safety work. Firstly, we must comprehensively enhance safety awareness; all comrades must diligently study the spirit of relevant documents and regulations concerning safety production from the central and provincial/municipal levels, carefully read and comprehend the "Safety Production Regulations of Yancheng City," and自觉 comply with the various management regulations of the institute and the company to prevent accidents. Secondly, we must align with the actual work of our departments and positions, thoroughly investigate potential safety hazards in accordance with the requirements, and propose practical and feasible rectification measures. Thirdly, the company implements a one-vote veto system and accountability for safety work; whoever is in charge is responsible, and there will be no leniency. Fourthly, the company's safety work leadership group will conduct irregular safety inspections of key departments and positions, promptly addressing and correcting any issues found, and resolutely eradicating safety hazards in their infancy. Finally, General Manager Li emphasized that safety is the greatest happiness and the greatest benefit; without safety, everything the company has will be reduced to zero.
