What are the technical points for waterstop steel plate installation?
1. The steel plate waterstop is typically specified with a minimum height from the center to the bottom surface of 250mm; however, for easier construction, a wider suspended height of 300mm is generally achieved.
Once we determine the horizontal height of the steel plate waterstop, we typically align it with the benchmarking points of the structure to pull a string at the top of the steel plate waterstop, ensuring the top remains straight.
3. Weld short reinforcing bars beneath the steel plate waterstop to support the steel plate; the length should match the thickness of the concrete panel wall's reinforcing mesh, typically not too long. At this point, weld the waterstop over the position of the short reinforcing bars to prevent blocking the water seepage path.
4. For the waterstop steel plate crossing through the column, this requires cellular treatment. It involves breaking the reinforcement within the waterstop steel plate range, at which point it is焊接 to the steel plate waterstop.
