The manufacturing process for stainless steel perforated tubes primarily includes the following steps and some key perforation techniques:

Mold Design: In the early stage of the production cycle for stainless steel perforated tubes, precise mold design is required. The quality of the molds greatly influences the quality of the stainless steel perforated tube products.

Hole Punching: A process that involves creating holes in stainless steel pipes using designed molds and mechanical force or laser beams. Mechanical punching involves pressing a punch into the stainless steel pipe with mechanical force to induce plastic deformation and create the hole. Laser punching, on the other hand, uses the high energy density of a laser beam to ablate the material and form holes in the stainless steel pipe. Laser punching can achieve high precision and speed in hole creation and can process various complex shapes, although the equipment costs are higher.

Sheet Cutting and Edging: Cut the entire coil of stainless steel sheet to the required size and trim off the excess edges.

Leveling: Using a leveling machine to restore the deformed punched plate to its original flat state.

Surface Treatment: Process the surface of the perforated stainless steel after punching, such as degreasing, to keep the plate clean.

Welding: Sheets that have been punched are welded into tubes using methods such as argon arc welding or electric welding. Argon arc welding technology is based on the principle of conventional arc welding, utilizing argon gas to protect the metal welding material. It involves the application of high current to melt the welding material into a liquid state on the base material, forming a molten pool, and achieving metallurgical bonding between the welded metal and the welding material.

Polishing: After welding, stainless steel pipes are polished to enhance their surface smoothness and aesthetics. Polishing with a polishing machine may remove the original brushed texture from the sheet surface, requiring manual finishing to restore the brushed texture later.

In addition to the aforementioned methods of making stainless steel perforated tubes through processes like punching and welding, high-density perforated tubes can also be formed through cold drawing and hot rolling, among other techniques.

Cold Drawn (Rolled) High Density Holes Tube Process Flow: Round billet → Heating → Piercing → Heading → Annealing → Acid washing → Oiling (Copper Plating) → Multi-pass Cold Drawing (Cold Rolling) → Bloom → Heat Treatment → Straightening → Hydrostatic Test (Non-destructive Testing) → Marking → Storage.

Hot rolled (high-density pierced tube) process flow: Round billet → Heating → Piercing → Three-roll slitting, continuous rolling, or extrusion → Tube removal → Size reduction (or sizing) → Cooling → Blank tube → Straightening → Hydrostatic testing (or flaw detection) → Marking → Storage.

These processes allow for the production of stainless steel perforated pipes with uniform pipe diameters, strong welds, and high flexibility, widely used in various applications requiring filtration, screening, and decorative purposes.
