Shanghai Meixu Metal转子流量计 MX-LL-116-04 Series - Metal Tube Float Flow Meters consist of two main parts: the sensor and the indicator. The sensor is mainly composed of a connecting flange, a measuring cone tube, a float, and upper and lower guides; the indicator is mainly made up of the housing, a magnetic transmission system, a scale disk, and an electrical remote transmission system. Inside the vertical conical measuring tube, there is a movable measuring component - the float. As the fluid flows from bottom to top through the conical tube, the float is acted upon by the fluid's force and moves upward along the tube. When the fluid flow rate increases, the float's displacement increases; conversely, when the flow rate decreases, the float's displacement decreases. That is to say, the fluid flow rate determines the float's position in the measuring tube, thereby determining the size of the annular area between the float and the conical tube. When the fluid flow rate remains constant at a steady flow rate Q, the float reaches a state of dynamic equilibrium and stays at a position h within the conical tube. At this point, the annular area between the float and the conical tube remains constant. The float is subjected to three forces: its own weight G, the buoyant force F acting on the float, and the force P exerted by the fluid. These three forces achieve equilibrium. Based on Bernoulli's equation of fluid dynamics, the principle of force balance, and the law of continuity of fluids, the instantaneous fluid flow rate through the annular area can be calculated. Therefore, the metal tube float flow meter operates on the principle of variable area flow measurement. Inside the float, there is an embedded high-performance magnet. When the float is in the equilibrium position, a uniform and stable magnetic field is formed around it. Outside the conical tube, a magnetic sensor is installed, which allows the linear displacement of the float inside the measuring tube to be transmitted to the indicator non-contactly. After detection and processing, the reading is displayed on the indicator scale disk or a corresponding standard 4-20mA current signal is output.

Unique Advantages

The difference between a magnetic flow meter and a metal float flow meter: A magnetic flow meter can only measure media with conductivity, whereas a metal float flow meter does not require it. The metal float flow meter can measure pure water, oil, and other non-oily media that are not severely corrosive. Its straightforward pointer display is favored by many customers.
