How to Maintain Mining Signal Cables?

Installation of mining signal cables should include measures to prevent or mitigate electrical interference, such as proper metal shielding and grounding of the shielding layer.

Metal shielding is an essential measure to weaken and prevent electrical interference, including overall shielding, partial shielding, and double-layered overall shielding for the wire core. The selection of the metal shielding type for control cables should consider the strength of potential electrical interference impacts and integrate measures for comprehensive interference suppression to meet the requirements of reducing interference and overvoltage. The higher the demand for anti-interference effectiveness, the greater the corresponding investment will be. When steel tape armor or wire braiding overall shielding is used, the cable price may increase by approximately 10% to 20%.

Control interference in high-voltage circuitry, due to its strong signal, can generally be mitigated with control cables without metallic shielding, except when they are in close proximity to ultra-high-voltage distribution equipment or parallel to high-voltage cables for a long distance. For control cables used in low-voltage signal control circuits where interference is present and effective anti-interference measures are lacking, it is advisable to use cables with metallic shielding to prevent electrical interference from causing false operation or insulation breakdown in low-level signal circuits. If the control cables for low-voltage circuits are sufficiently spaced from power cables or installed in steel pipes, external electrical interference may be reduced to an allowable level.

Square of X1.83 equals the weight of copper multiplied by the current copper price plus the sheathing cost (weight x 0.4 yuan per jin) = cost price plus 10% processing fee.

The price of cables = cost of manufacturing materials + fixed expenses + taxes + business costs + profit

Manufacturing Material Cost = Material Cost * (1 + Material Consumption) (where Material Cost is the theoretical calculated value)

Fixed costs vary by company, typically including production wages, management salaries, utility bills, repair costs, depreciation, rent, and transportation expenses.

Common failures of mining signal cable lines include mechanical damage, insulation damage, insulation moisture, insulation aging and deterioration, overvoltage, and cable overheating faults. When these failures occur, the power supply to the faulty cable should be disconnected, locate the fault point, inspect and analyze the fault, then repair and test it. Remove what needs to be cut, and only restore power supply after the fault is eliminated.
