Ellipse Head Manufacturer

The elliptical head, also known as an elliptical-shaped head or ellipsoidal head, is a head consisting of two parts: a rotating ellipsoid surface and a cylindrical straight section. An elliptical head with a long-axis to short-axis ratio of 2.0, where the generatrix of the rotating ellipsoid surface is concerned, is conventionally termed a standard elliptical head. The mechanical properties of the elliptical head are second only to the hemispherical head but superior to the dome head. As the elliptical head is intermediate between the hemispherical and dome heads, the requirements for stamping equipment and molds, as well as the manufacturing difficulty, are also between the two, meaning it's easier than the hemispherical head but more challenging than the dome head. Due to its good overall performance, the elliptical head is widely used in medium and low-pressure vessels. In recent years, the adoption of the spinning forming process has made it convenient to manufacture large-diameter elliptical heads.
