Safety Measures for Underwater Operations

(1) Underwater Operations: Divers must pass a physical examination before engaging in diving activities and should maintain their energy levels before entering the water.

(2) Underwater Operations: Divers must undergo systematic training and possess a comprehensive understanding of underwater operations before they are permitted to perform underwater tasks individually.

(3) Underwater Operations: Prior to work, carefully listen to the opinions of the technical supervisor, investigate and understand the underwater environment, equipment, and hydrological conditions, and establish safety measures.

(4) Diving Operations: Prior to diving, a thorough check of tools and equipment such as copper heads, breathing hoses, air compressors, wetsuits, and communication devices must be conducted to ensure they are in good working order.

(5) Underwater Operations: Divers must wear the required protective gear, ensuring that copper head screws and pins are securely fastened, and that the lacing of belts and shoe buckles comply with the specified methods to prevent accidents.

(6) Underwater Operations: Before diving, take note of your orientation. Only descend after receiving the contact signal. If you experience ear pain during the descent, stop immediately and wait for your body to adjust before continuing.

(7) Underwater Operations: During underwater operations, be mindful of nearby objects to prevent damage to the airway, rope, or wetsuit from being pinched or torn. When moving forward, use your hand to protect the view port to avoid damaging it.

(8) Underwater Operations: Tools required for underwater operations will be sent down by the contact person using a rope. Divers should retreat to a safe location and notify the contact person upon receiving the tools.

Underwater Operations: During underwater operations, a designated person must oversee the air hose, retrieval line, and gas supply. The gas supply should correspond to the water depth and pressure to prevent excessive pressure differences between the diver and the surface, which could lead to asphyxiation and injury due to floating and freefall accidents.

(10) Underwater Operations: During diving operations, entering or ascending the water should be done by gripping the water rope or diving platform, and proper adjustments should be made for descending and ascending.

(11) Underwater Operations: Dive operation vessels (dive platforms) should be securely anchored to prevent the vessel from moving and dragging divers, which could lead to drifting accidents.

(12) Underwater Operations: Divers should implement rigorous measures during descent and ascent to prevent breathing hoses and signal ropes from getting tangled around obstacles or divers from being pinned under heavy objects. Divers should remember the route when passing through obstacles and return via the same path. In areas with numerous obstacles, emergency divers should be on standby to immediately assist if entanglement occurs underwater.

(13) Diving Operations: Ensure uninterrupted air supply during underwater operations by preventing the disconnection of air supply fittings, bursting of air supply hoses, or failure of the air compressor, when supplying air to divers from a vessel or land via air supply lines.
