  • Product Introduction

    An automatic backwash filter is a filter designed for industrial cooling with low-quality water. Featuring a built-in handle on its housing, it allows for the control of the intermediate butterfly valve to change direction. When it's time to clean the filter chamber, simply turn the handle to complete what was once a very cumbersome cleaning process, enhancing its usability and making it the top economic and practical choice currently available.

    Its features include: easy operation, space-saving, no disassembly and cleaning required, large filter core surface area, low filtration resistance. Cleaning can be performed during the filter's operation, without interrupting the flow, ensuring uninterrupted equipment operation.

    Based on the medium flow direction of the filter, they can be categorized into: Direct Current Backwash Filters and Bifurcated Flow Backwash Filters.


    Working Principle

    1. Normal operating condition

    Manually open the butterfly valve, so that the valve plate plane is parallel to the filter筒axis, (at this time, the handle is also parallel to the筒body axis) close the drain valve. At this point, water flows directly from the inlet into the internal filter筒, is filtered through the filter mesh, and then discharged from the outlet.

    2. Backwash operating status

    Manual butterfly closure means that the valve plate is perpendicular to the filter element axis. At this point, turning the handle 90 degrees perpendicular to the cylinder axis opens the drainage valve. Water then enters the filter chamber from the inlet and, due to the closed butterfly valve, is blocked by the valve plate, only to enter the outer side of the filter chamber through the front mesh holes. Most of the water exits from the outlet and then reverses through the mesh holes at the back of the filter to the interior of the chamber, achieving the purpose of flushing away dirt adhering to the inner walls of the chamber. Additionally, with the drainage outlet open, the pressure drop in the filter chamber's back section allows some water impurities and wastewater to be discharged through the outlet.

     

    Application Range

    1. Weakly corrosive materials in chemical and petrochemical production, such as water, oil products, ammonia, hydrocarbons, etc.

    2. Corrosive materials in chemical production, such as: caustic soda, soda ash, concentrated and dilute sulfuric acid, carbonic acid, aldehyde acid, etc.

    3. Low-temperature materials in refrigeration, such as: liquid methane, liquid ammonia, liquid oxygen, and various refrigerants.

    4. Materials with hygiene requirements in food production, such as beer, beverages, dairy products, etc.
