Product Description
Integrated evaporative condensing screw-type chilled water unit with built-in cooling pump, featuring plate-and-tube evaporative condensers made of special high thermal conductivity and hydrophilic metals with excellent corrosion resistance, welded by laser technology, ensuring a lifespan of over 15 years. The evaporative condensing screw-type chilled water unit combines the heat exchanger of the water-cooled condenser with direct cooling in the cooling tower, merging two units into one, eliminating the need for a cooling pump between the condenser and the cooling tower, resulting in less circulating water than traditional methods and lower condensation temperatures compared to traditional cooling methods, thereby saving energy consumption; significantly reducing equipment size, the modular assembly structure makes installation and maintenance extremely convenient, and can also be installed in basements to eliminate noise pollution and enhance the building's appearance.
1. Energy-saving: As the condensation temperature of the evaporative condenser varies with the wet bulb temperature, which is generally 6-8℃ lower than the dry bulb temperature, using an evaporative condenser in the same environment can lower the condensation temperature of the condensing system by 6-8℃. Compared to a water-cooled condenser with a cooling tower, since it directly rejects heat to the ambient air in a single step, it can achieve energy savings of over 20% for the system and compressor.
2. Low operating costs, long lifespan: Low maintenance expenses. All components of the evaporative condenser are made of stainless steel or galvanized steel pipes with hot-dipped zinc coating, ensuring long operation time and minimal maintenance costs.
3. Water-saving: A water-cooled condenser can remove 4.6-6.9 watts of heat with 1 Kg of cooling water, while 1 Kg of water can carry away 676 watts of heat through evaporation at atmospheric pressure. Therefore, the theoretical water consumption of an evaporative condenser is only 1% of that of a typical water-cooled condenser. In reality, due to factors like blow-off losses, wastewater exchange, etc., the water consumption is still 5%-10% of a standard water-cooled condenser, making it particularly suitable for water-scarce areas.
Evaporative condensers utilize the evaporation of spray water outside the coil to absorb heat from inside the coil.
The heat from the high-temperature gaseous refrigerant gradually cools the refrigerant inside the tube, causing it to transition from a gaseous state to a liquid state.
A evaporative condenser is composed of components such as cooling tubes, packing, spray nozzles, axial fans, collecting trays, pumps, water collectors, and the housing.
Operation Principle of an Evaporative Condenser
The spray water is transported from the collection sump to the top of the evaporative condenser by a pump, where it is sprayed onto the outer surface of the condenser tubes through nozzles, forming a thin water film. Part of the water in the film absorbs heat and evaporates into steam, while the rest falls back into the collection sump for reuse by the pump.
Axial fans force air to be吸入 from the top and lower side walls, passing through the coil. The saturated moist air with fillings is exhausted into the surrounding atmosphere. Part of the water droplets carried by the moist air is intercepted by the water collector, effectively controlling the loss of water droplet dispersion. The water vapor dispersed into the atmosphere is replenished with cooling water by the float valve within the system.
Evaporative condenser product features
1. The condenser tubes are made of ultra-long, specially designed steel pipes, which have been rigorously tested under a water pressure of 2.5 MPa, and are fully hot-dip galvanized at nearly 430°C.
2. The cabinet is made of high-quality imported or domestic galvanized steel sheets, with the option of electrostatic powder coating. The water tray can be made of stainless steel.
3. Low-noise axial fans are selected for the blowers, which have a high throw to prevent the return of hot air.
4. Pumps are designed with low power, high flow, and low lift for outdoor use, and can be equipped with descaling equipment according to customer requirements.
5. The water distributor, water collector, and cooling pack are equipped with high-flow, clog-proof nozzles for continuous and even coverage. This design prevents the formation of dry spots on the pipe walls. Made from high-quality PVC material, they are resistant to aging and have a low wind resistance. The channel-shaped water absorber ensures water drift rate below 0.001%. The cooling pack features a honeycomb cross-flow structure, suitable for circulating water cooling.
6. Small flow cooling circulating water evaporates in the condenser tubes, and ammonia gas condenses into a liquid inside the condenser tubes, hence the name "evaporative condenser." High-intensity evaporation makes evaporative condensers more prone to scale buildup compared to other types, and there is currently no ideal descaling method. Evaporative condensers with severe scaling lose their energy-saving benefits. Only high-quality cooling water is suitable, so be cautious when selecting the model!
Technical Features of Evaporative Condensers
1. Utilizing induced draft counter-current and single heat exchange design, heat transfer is entirely reliant on the surface of the coil assembly. Air enters the evaporative condenser from all around the bottom at a low speed and exits at a high speed from the top, minimizing the return of saturated air with both heat and moisture.
2. Advanced high-capacity spray nozzles, capable of covering pipe walls to maximize water contact, enhancing heat exchange coefficients. This unit features an advanced structure with no clogging issues, reducing surface scaling and improving equipment efficiency.
3. The evaporative condensing screw chiller unit casing is made of high-quality imported or domestic ST102 galvanized steel plate, with optional electrostatic powder coating process. The collecting tray can be made of 304 stainless steel plate.
