Air-cooled modular units are available in single-cooling and heat pump models. The heat pump type combines cooling and heating functions, serving both cooling and heating needs, enabling summer temperature reduction and winter heating, and is a versatile unit. Therefore, air-cooled heat pump units are often the preferred solution in HVAC design that requires year-round air conditioning without heating boilers, heating networks, or other stable heat sources. These units can be integrated with fan coils, cabinet or ceiling-mounted air handlers, and fresh air handling units to form a semi-centralized air conditioning system. During heating, the heat is directly extracted from the outdoor air, saving energy.
