Preparations for the use of various raw materials are underway. The stone笼 nets are transported in bundles, so when they arrive at the construction site, they are packed into a large bundle consisting of several net boxes. After cutting the binding wire, the required individual products are extracted for installation. Generally, binding wire is provided with the shipment of products, and we need to cut and secure them based on the actual usage.
Notably, due to the products being packed and transported with a press for volume compression, the packages are tightly sealed. As a result, when cutting the binding wire, the large package may burst open momentarily. Caution must be exercised for personnel safety when unpacking.
Before installing the gabion mesh into the ground, we must treat the foundation, which should be flat and dry. The base of the wall should maintain a 110-degree angle with the ground level to prevent the product from sliding after installation, ensuring the stability of the wall. This requirement should be at least 300mm, and the same applies to the front end of the wall. After the gabion mesh is installed, the slope angle of the rear side should also be maintained at a safe angle to ensure the stability of the slope.
Bunding wire assembly and stone filling. Unfold the mesh baskets on flat ground and flatten them. Note: Always wear protective equipment such as goggles and gloves during construction. Stand up each face of the binding wire to form a basket-like structure. Each surface of the mesh basket has thicker edge wires, which are twisted together at the corners of the mesh. These twisted edge wires overlap with the binding wires at the corners.
