The manufacturing process of slope protection nets mainly includes two types: active protection net and passive protection net. The following is a detailed explanation of both processes:
Active Protection Net Manufacturing Process
The Active Protective Net is primarily used to cover and reinforce the surface of slopes, preventing rock falls and soil erosion. The manufacturing process mainly includes the following steps:
Materials Preparation:
Utilizing high-tensile, corrosion-resistant steel wire as the primary material.
Prepare auxiliary materials such as support ropes,缝合ropes, anchor rods, etc., according to design specifications.
Anchor Rod Installation:
Based on the site topography and design specifications, determine the placement and depth of anchor rods.
Drill anchor holes at designated locations using drilling equipment and clear debris from within the holes.
Insert anchor rods and grout to secure them, ensuring a tight bond between the rods and the rock and soil mass.
Rope Installation Support
Installed longitudinal and transverse support ropes according to design specifications, forming a stable support structure.
By using a rope clamp to securely connect the support rope to the anchor rod, tension and stability of the support rope are ensured.
Rope Net Laying and Sewing:
Steel rope mesh is laid within the grid formed by support ropes, ensuring a tight fit between the mesh and the ropes.
The steel wire mesh is securely attached to the supporting rope using stitched cord, creating a stable protective layer.
Pre-stretching the stitching areas enhances the overall stability of the protective layer.
Grille Mesh Installation:
A grating mesh is laid beneath the steel rope mesh to prevent the collapse of small rock blocks.
The格栅mesh is securely fastened to the steel wire mesh using woven wire.
Quality Inspection and Acceptance:
Quality inspections are conducted on the completed active defense nets to ensure all metrics meet design specifications.
Inspect personnel to ensure the quality of construction meets standards.
Passive Protection Mesh Manufacturing Process
Passive protection nets are primarily used to intercept and cushion falling rocks and other geological disasters, mitigating their impact on the protected objects. The manufacturing process mainly includes the following steps:
Materials Preparation:
Utilizing high-tensile, corrosion-resistant steel wire and wire rope mesh as the primary materials.
Prepared auxiliary materials such as steel columns, anchor ropes, and support ropes according to design specifications.
Steel column and base installation:
Based on the site topography and design specifications, the positions of the steel columns and bases are determined.
Excavating the foundation pit and pouring concrete for the base, then securing the steel columns to the base.
Anchoring Rope and Support Rope Installation:
Installed the up anchor rope and down anchor rope, forming a stable support structure.
According to the design specifications, install longitudinal and transverse cable supports, and secure the connections with rope clamps and steel columns.
Circular Net Laying and Connection
Circular nets are hung within the framework of supporting ropes, ensuring a tight fit with the ropes.
Circular nets are stitched together with support ropes using缝合绳, creating a stable interception layer.
Grille Mesh Installation:
Grating grids are laid inside the circular net to further enhance the interception effect.
The grille mesh is securely fastened to the annular mesh using woven wire.
Quality Inspection and Acceptance:
Quality inspections are conducted on the completed passive protection net to ensure all specifications meet design requirements.
A team of personnel was organized to conduct inspections to ensure the quality of the project meets standards.
Summary
The manufacturing process of slope protection nets includes two types: active protection nets and passive protection nets. Active protection nets primarily prevent rockfalls and soil erosion by covering and reinforcing the slope surface, while passive protection nets mitigate the impact on the protected objects by intercepting and buffering falling rocks and other geological disasters. The manufacturing process for both types of protection nets involves material preparation, installation of anchor rods (or steel pillars with bases), installation of support ropes, laying and connecting of mesh panels, laying of grillage mesh, and quality inspection and acceptance. In actual engineering projects, the appropriate type of protection net and manufacturing process should be selected based on the site topography, geological conditions, and design requirements.
