I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products, which have been improved and refined in structure based on our company's mature products. They feature optimized protection performance and critical components, all independently developed. These actuators are compact in design, with a small footprint, and aesthetically pleasing, offering stable and reliable performance. The good protection rating meets various design requirements: explosion-proof, all-in-one switching, and all-in-one regulating types.
The DZW series is used to control the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, shutoff valves, diaphragm valves, its derivative products can also be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. It can accurately respond to control commands, making it an indispensable drive device for remote, centralized, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and the performance of explosion-proof type conforms to GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Explosion-Proof Type "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque while moving the stroke; ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Start with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque of the switching direction based on the valve's operating characteristics; typically, the open direction torque is greater than the close direction torque.
(4) Adjustments are made under conditions of no load, no medium pressure, and other factors. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be given to whether it can be tightly sealed. If it cannot be tightly sealed, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Travel Control Mechanism Adjustment
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driving pinion from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position using a screwdriver towards the adjustment shaft, turning until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the micro-switch to activate. This indicates the initial adjustment of the "OFF" travel is complete.

Now, turn the electric switch a few times and then turn it off. Check if the closing travel meets the requirements; if not, adjust it again following the above procedure.
(5) Valve Direction Adjustment: After adjusting the valve in the closed direction, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then, disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. Once the stroke mechanism engages with the driving gear, the opening stroke is complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, repeat the operation a few times. Generally, control the valve opening to about 90%.
3. Adjustments for the adjustable opening indicator:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the gear ratio and stroke.
