I. Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products that our company has developed through improvements and optimizations on our existing mature products. They feature a compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. The good protection grade meets various design requirements: explosion-proof, overall switch type, and overall adjustment type.
The DZW series is used for controlling the opening and closing of valves. It is suitable for gate valves, stop valves, check valves, diaphragm valves, and its derivative products can be applied to ball valves, butterfly valves, and air gates, etc. It can accurately operate according to control instructions, and is an indispensable driving device for remote control, centralized control, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and the performance of explosion-proof types conforms to GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Explosion-Proof "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjusting torque, during travel, it is essential to check if the potentiometer on the position indicator has been disconnected (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disconnect it) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the closing torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque for switching direction according to the valve's operating characteristics; typically, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no load, no medium pressure, etc. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be paid to whether it can be tightly sealed. If it cannot be tightly sealed, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Traveler control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the travel control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the travel control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thus separating the driving sprocket from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position using a screwdriver until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. This indicates that the initial "OFF" travel has been properly adjusted.

At this point, turn the electric switch a few times, then turn it off. Check if the closing travel meets the requirements; if not, adjust according to the above procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the closed direction is adjusted, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear to complete the opening stroke adjustment. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, it can be operated repeatedly. Generally, the valve opening is controlled around 90%.
3. Adjustable opening degree indicator adjustment:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after tuning the gear ratio and travel.
