I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are our company's improved and optimized version of the existing mature product, featuring enhanced protection performance and key components, and are a completely self-developed new generation product. They boast compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. The good protection grade meets various design requirements: explosion-proof, all-in-one switch, and all-in-one regulating types.
The DZW series is used for controlling the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, check valves, diaphragm valves, its derivative products can be applied to ball valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. It can accurately actuate according to control commands, and is an indispensable drive device for remote control, centralized control, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators for Valves of General Type). The explosion-proof type meets the specifications of GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Explosion-Proof Type "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque during travel, and ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the closing torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque of the switch direction based on the valve's operational characteristics; typically, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no load, no medium pressure, etc. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be paid to whether it can be tightly sealed. If it cannot be sealed tightly, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Traveler control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Manually close the valve tightly.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driven small gear from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "Off" position screwdriver clockwise towards the adjustment shaft, continue rotating until the cam engages the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. This indicates that the "Off" position travel has been initially adjusted.

At this point, turn the electric switch a few times and then turn it off. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements; if not, adjust it again following the above procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the closed direction adjustment is complete, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft until the cam engages the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear for the adjustment to be complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, repeat the operation a few times. Generally, the valve opening is controlled around 90%.
3. Adjustable opening indicator adjustment:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the torque and stroke.
