I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products that our company has developed through improvements and optimizations on our mature products. They feature a compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. The good protection level meets various design requirements: explosion-proof, all-position switch, and all-position adjustment.
The DZW series is designed for controlling the opening and closing of valves. It is suitable for gate valves, stop valves, check valves, diaphragm valves, and its derivatives can be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. It can accurately respond to control commands, making it an essential driving device for remote, centralized, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the specifications of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and the performance of the explosion-proof type conforms to GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Environments: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Environments: Explosion-Proof Type "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjusting torque, during travel, it is essential to check if the potentiometer on the position indicator has been disconnected (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disconnect) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the closing torque.
(2) Start from a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque for switch direction based on the valve's operating characteristics; typically, the open direction torque is greater than the close direction torque.
(4) Adjustments are made under conditions of no load and no medium pressure, etc. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be paid to whether it can be sealed properly. If it cannot be sealed properly, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be sealed tightly and opened easily.
2. Traveler control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Manually close the valve tightly.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driving small gear from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position adjustment shaft with a screwdriver, turning it in the direction of the arrow until the cam engages the spring plate, causing the microswitch to actuate. This indicates that the initial "OFF" travel has been properly adjusted.

At this point, you can electrically turn it a few rotations, then close it. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements. If not, adjust it again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the closed direction adjustment is complete, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then, disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the micro-switch to activate. Once the stroke mechanism engages with the driving gear, the open direction stroke is adjusted. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, it can be operated repeatedly. Generally, the valve opening is controlled around 90%.
3. Adjustment of the adjustable opening indicator:
(1) Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the torque and stroke.
