I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators are our company's new generation of products, which are improved and optimized based on our mature products. They feature compact structure, small size, aesthetic appearance, and stable and reliable performance. The good protection grade meets various design requirements: explosion-proof, overall switch, and overall adjustment types.
The DZW series is used to control the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, shutoff valves, diaphragm valves, its derivative products can be applied to ball valves, butterfly valves, and air gates, etc. It can accurately respond to control commands, and is an indispensable driving device for achieving remote control, centralized control, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the specifications of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and the performance of explosion-proof types conforms to GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Explosion-Proof Type "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque during travel; ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disengage) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque for switch direction based on the valve's operational characteristics; typically, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no-load, no-medium pressure, etc. When there is pressure or temperature, attention should be paid to whether it can be tightly sealed. If it cannot be tightly sealed, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Travel control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Manually close the valve tightly.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the plunger in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thus separating the driven sprocket from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "Off" adjustment shaft with a screwdriver in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. This indicates that the "Off" travel has been initially adjusted.

At this point, you can electrically turn it a few rotations, then close it. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements; if not, adjust it again following the above procedure.
(5) Adjustment of Open Direction: After the closed direction is adjusted, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to actuate. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear, and the open direction stroke is complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, the operation can be repeated several times. Generally, the opening of the valve is controlled around 90%.
