I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation product that we have improved and perfected upon our existing mature products. They feature compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. With a high protection grade, they can meet various design requirements: explosion-proof, overall switching, and overall regulating types.
The DZW series is used for controlling the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, check valves, diaphragm valves, its derivative products can be applied to ball valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. It can accurately actuate according to control commands, and is an indispensable driving device for remote, centralized, and automatic control of valves.
This product's performance conforms to the requirements of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of Valves of General Type) and meets the specifications of GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Intrinsically Safe "d"), as well as JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Intrinsically Safe Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque during travel. Ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Start from a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque for switch direction based on the valve's operating characteristics; typically, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no load, no medium pressure, and other factors. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be paid to whether it can be tightly sealed. If it cannot be sealed tightly, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Travel Control Mechanism Adjustment
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driving pinion from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position with a screwdriver around the adjustment shaft, turning it in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. This indicates the initial adjustment of the "OFF" travel is complete.

At this point, you can turn the switch a few times electrically, then turn it off. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements. If not, adjust it again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the closed direction adjustment is set, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then, disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. After that, engage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear to complete the opening stroke adjustment. Once the stroke control mechanism is adjusted, it can be operated repeatedly. Generally, the valve opening is controlled around 90%.
3. Adjustable Opening Indicator Adjustment:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the torque and stroke.
