I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products that our company has developed and improved upon our mature products. They feature a compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. With an excellent protection grade, they can meet the needs of various designs: explosion-proof, all-position switch, and all-position regulating.
The DZW series is used to control the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, check valves, diaphragm valves, its derivative products can be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and air doors, etc. It can accurately actuate according to control instructions, and is an indispensable driving device for remote control, centralized control, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the specifications of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and the performance of explosion-proof types conforms to GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1: General Requirements for Electrical Equipment Used in Explosive Gas Atmospheres), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2: Explosion-Proof "d" Electrical Equipment Used in Explosive Gas Atmospheres), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque during travel. Ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the potentiometer shaft gear) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Start from a low torque value and gradually increase the torque until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque for switch direction based on the valve's operational characteristics; typically, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no load and medium-free pressure. When pressure and temperature are present, pay attention to whether it can be sealed properly. If not, increase the torque value appropriately to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Traveler control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the travel control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the travel control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thus separating the driving small gear from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" adjustment shaft with a screwdriver in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. This indicates that the initial "OFF" travel has been properly adjusted.

At this point, you can electrically turn it a few rotations, then shut it off. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements; if not, adjust it again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the closed direction is adjusted, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the micro-switch to activate. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear, and the open direction stroke is complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, repeat the operation a few times. Generally, the valve opening is controlled around 90%.
3. Adjustment of the adjustable opening indicator:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the torque and travel.
