I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products that our company has developed through improvements and optimizations on our mature products. They feature a compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. With a high protection grade, they can meet the needs of various designs: explosion-proof, overall switching, and overall regulating types.
The DZW series is used to control the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, shutoff valves, diaphragm valves, and its derivative products can be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. It can accurately actuate according to control commands, and is an indispensable driving device for remote, centralized, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the specifications of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and has explosion-proof performance in compliance with GB3836.1-2000 (Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Part 2 - Explosion-Proof "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque, during travel, ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disengage) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque for switch direction based on the valve's operational characteristics; typically, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no load and no medium pressure. When there is pressure and temperature, pay attention to whether it can be sealed properly. If it cannot be sealed properly, increase the torque value appropriately to ensure it can be tightly sealed and easily opened.
2. Travel control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the stroke control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the top rod in the stroke control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driving sprocket from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "Off" position screwdriver towards the adjustment shaft, turning it according to the arrow direction until the cam engages the spring plate, causing the micro switch to actuate. This indicates that the "Off" position travel is initially adjusted.

At this point, you can electrically turn it a few rotations, then turn it off. Check if the closing travel meets the requirements; if not, adjust it again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Adjustment of the opening direction: After adjusting the closing direction, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then, disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to actuate. Once the stroke mechanism engages with the driving gear, the opening stroke is complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, the operation can be repeated several times. Generally, the opening of the valve is controlled at around 90%.
3. Adjustability of the adjustable opening indicator:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the torque and travel.
