I: Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are a new generation of products, developed and improved upon our mature products with a compact structure, small size, aesthetically pleasing design, and stable, reliable performance. They offer excellent protection ratings to meet various design requirements: explosion-proof, all-position switching, and all-position regulating.
The DZW series is used for controlling the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, shutoff valves, diaphragm valves, and its derivative products can be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and air gates, etc. It can accurately respond to control commands, and is an indispensable driving device for remote control, centralized control, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the specifications of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and the performance of explosion-proof types complies with GB3836.1-2000 (Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Part 2 - Explosion-Proof "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque, during travel, ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disengage) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the torque.
(2) Start with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque of the switch direction according to the valve's operating characteristics; generally, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments are made under conditions of no load, no medium pressure, etc. When there is pressure and temperature, attention should be given to whether it can be sealed properly. If it cannot be sealed, the torque value should be appropriately increased to ensure it can be sealed and opened easily.
2. Traveler control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Manually close the valve tightly.
(2) Disengage the travel control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the pin in the travel control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thus separating the driven sprocket from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" position screwdriver towards the adjustment shaft, turning it in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. This indicates that the "OFF" travel has been initially adjusted.
(4)
Now, turn it on electrically for a few rotations, then turn it off. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements. If not, adjust it again following the above procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the closed direction adjustment is complete, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to actuate. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear for the opening stroke to be complete. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, repeat the operation a few times. Generally, control the valve opening to around 90%.
3. Adjustable Opening Indicator Adjustment:
(1) Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after aligning the torque and stroke.
