I. Overview
The DZW series electric actuators for valves are our company's improved and optimized version of the mature products, featuring enhanced protective performance and critical componentry. This is a completely self-developed new generation product with compact structure, small size, attractive appearance, and stable and reliable performance. Its excellent protection level meets various design requirements: explosion-proof, all-in-one switching, and all-in-one regulating types.
The DZW series is used for controlling the opening and closing of valves. Suitable for gate valves, stop valves, check valves, diaphragm valves, its derivative products can be used for ball valves, butterfly valves, and dampers, etc. It can accurately actuate according to control commands, and is an indispensable driving device for remote, centralized, and automatic control of valves.
This product meets the specifications of JB/T8528-1997 (Technical Conditions for Electric Actuators of General Valves) and the performance of explosion-proof types conforms to GB3836.1-2000 (Part 1 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: General Requirements), GB3836.2-2000 (Part 2 of Electrical Equipment for Explosive Gas Atmospheres: Explosion-Proof Type "d"), and JB/T8529-1997 (Technical Conditions for Explosion-Proof Electric Actuators).

Three: Adjust
Adjust the torque, during travel, ensure the potentiometer on the position indicator is disengaged (loosen the set screw on the gear of the potentiometer shaft to disengage) to prevent damage.
Torque control mechanism adjustment:
Firstly, adjust the closing torque.
(2) Begin with a low torque value and gradually increase it until the valve is fully closed.
(3) Adjust the torque of the switch direction according to the valve's working characteristics; typically, the opening torque is greater than the closing torque.
(4) Adjustments above are made under conditions of no load and no medium pressure. When there is pressure and temperature, pay attention to whether it can be tightly closed. If it cannot be closed tightly, increase the torque value appropriately, aiming for both tight closure and ease of opening.
2. Traveler control mechanism adjustment:
(1) Close the valve manually.
(2) Disengage the travel control mechanism by using a screwdriver to push the plunger in the travel control mechanism and rotate it 90°, thereby separating the driven small gear from the counter's unit gear set.
(3) Rotate the "OFF" adjustment shaft with a screwdriver in the direction of the arrow until the cam engages the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. This indicates that the OFF travel has been initially adjusted.

At this point, turn a few rotations using the electric function, then close. Check if the closing stroke meets the requirements; if not, adjust again following the aforementioned procedure.
(5) Direction Adjustment: After the closed direction adjustment is complete, manually open the valve to the desired position. Then disengage the stroke control mechanism, rotate the "open" adjustment shaft in the direction of the arrow until the cam presses against the spring plate, causing the microswitch to activate. Reengage the stroke mechanism with the driving gear to complete the opening stroke adjustment. After adjusting the stroke control mechanism, repeat the operation a few times. Generally, the valve is opened to about 90%.
3. Adjustable opening indicator adjustment:
Adjust the adjustable opening indicator and remote potentiometer after adjusting the torque and stroke.
