The hand-held horizontal safety rope should be made of a fiber core 6×37+1 wire rope with a plastic sheath, and its technical performance should meet the requirements of GBll02 "Round Wire Rope". It should also have a product production license and a product出厂qualification certificate.
2. The safety rope manufacturer recommends that both ends of the safety rope should be securely fastened to a stable and reliable framework, with at least two wraps around the framework. A pad should be added where it comes into contact with the framework's sharp edges.
3. The end of the safety rope should be securely fastened with a rope clamp (also known as a rope clamp head). The clamp plate should be positioned at one end of the steel wire rope, with at least three rope clamps required, and the spacing between them should not be less than six times the diameter of the steel wire rope. The safety clamp head should be installed approximately 500mm from the last clamp. The rope end should be released for a safe bend before being tightly fastened to the main rope.
4. The fixed height for the safety rope should be between 1.1 to 1.4 meters; a fixed support point should be set every 2 meters; the sag after the safety rope is fixed should be between 10 to 30 mm.
5. The handrail safety rope is solely intended for use as a walking aid for workers during high-altitude operations under special circumstances and must never be used as a suspension point for a safety belt. It should be regularly inspected for signs of loosening at the fixed end or point, as well as for any damage, corrosion, or broken strands in the rope.
