How to Achieve Sealing in a Vacuum Environment, and How to Prevent Leaks in Axial Sealing

The inflatable axial seal device under vacuum conditions includes an inflatable sealing ring, a sealing cylinder, a transition sleeve, an inflation pipe, and an air compressor. The inflatable sealing ring, sealing cylinder, and transition sleeve are axially symmetrical structures; the inflatable sealing ring is mounted in the groove of the transition sleeve, with the inflation port of the sealing ring mating with the inflation port of the transition sleeve; the sealing cylinder fits into the transition sleeve, allowing the sealing ring, once inflated, to fully contact the outer surface of the sealing cylinder; the inflation pipe connects the air compressor to the inflation port of the inflatable sealing ring.

In the era of industrial automation, standard sealing rings can no longer meet the rapid production demands of industrial automation in many applications. We are very proud to have developed our inflatable sealing ring series. These inflation rings for automated equipment can enhance the level of automation, reduce labor costs, and improve the production efficiency of enterprises.
Air-filled sealing rings differ from ordinary seals, as standard sealing strips/rings primarily rely on compression deformation for sealing. High sealing requirements are challenging to meet, and if seals operate under high pressure for extended periods, they can deform more, leading to reduced sealing effectiveness over time. Using an air-filled seal resolves this issue effortlessly. The sealing effect of an air-filled seal is adjusted by the air pressure, ensuring a complete seal whether the chamber is under positive or negative pressure. The air-filled seal should be 1mm below the installation groove when not inflated. During inflation, the pressure should be gradually increased until the desired sealing effect is achieved, then increase by 0.5 kg.
The lifespan of an inflatable sealing ring primarily hinges on three aspects: first, the rationality of its design structure; second, whether the material can meet the project requirements; and third, the production process. A brief introduction to these three factors is provided below.
1. The design phase is crucial, as it affects the overall usability and lifespan of the product. Clients should choose companies with proven design experience when making their selection.
2. In the material selection section, it should be combined with the specific project, sealing environment, and requirements for material selection. Currently, the commonly used material is an inflatable sealing ring made of silicone rubber.
3. Process section: Uniformity of main seal ring sizes, joint welding technique, and the stability and reliability of gas nozzle installation.
