What are the advantages of catalytic combustion over thermal combustion?
The catalytic combustion equipment consists mainly of a heat exchanger, combustion chamber, catalytic reactor, heat recovery system, and a flue gas purification chimney. Its purification principle is as follows: The unfiltered gas is preheated by the heat exchanger before entering the combustion chamber, where it reaches the required reaction temperature. The oxidation reaction takes place in the catalytic reactor. After purification, the烟气 releases some heat through the heat exchanger before being discharged into the atmosphere through the chimney.
Catalytic combustion equipment is suitable for purification of toxic and harmful gases containing combustible gases, vapors, etc., but it tends to cause clogging of the catalyst bed and a decrease in catalytic activity for gases containing a large amount of dust particles, mist droplets, and other toxic and harmful substances, thereby reducing purification efficiency. The catalytic combustion purification method is nearly applicable to all industrial production processes that emit hydrocarbons or have odoriferous compounds.
