Procurement of stainless steel guardrails has become scarce as well. During this sales downturn, the production workshop of the spiral steel pipe manufacturer is not only not seeing a decrease in workload but has actually become busier; the work pace of the workshop staff has not slowed down but has intensified. Why is that?
After a year of bustling production lines finally came to a halt, two factories separately embarked on equipment maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, thoroughly addressing issues exposed during operation. For instance, the fourteen cranes at the foreign goods yard and workshops were the focal point of this major equipment overhaul. Led by the Equipment Department, with the cooperation of the crane lifting team and production teams, the crane trolley reducers were opened to inspect the wear on bearings and gears. Badly damaged walking wheels and steel cables were replaced, and motors and reducers were oiled. While inspecting the equipment, the spiral steel pipe production workshop also upgraded the on-site environment. Following the philosophy of fixed placement, the workshop created some simple yet practical tools such as remote control brackets and paint mixing stations. Adhering to the 5S principles, numerous signs and banners were added to the workshop, enhancing visual management further, including safety slogans on welding agent containers and oil filtering signs at the hydraulic station. In terms of cleanliness, the staff went to great lengths, even using toothbrushes to clean the oil stains on motor reducers.
