Pre-start inspection

Check the engine oil level.

2. Inspect all water valve switches for integrity.

3. Check if the cooling water level is filled to the top. The method for adding water should be to shut down after a trial run and inspect, repeating this process multiple times until the water level is truly full.

4. Inspect the radiator fins and intercooler for blockages, and clean if necessary.

5. Inspect the air resistance indicator (replace the air filter when the red portion is fully exposed, and reset the resistance indicator).

6. Check fuel levels, drain sediment and water from the oil-water separator.

7. Inspect for leaks; no oil or water leakage is permitted.

8. Disconnect the main power switch.

The mechanical speed controller set the speed to idle.

Check if the alarm indicator light is in good condition (the fault alarm should be on when the key is in the run position).

11. The switch on the control box for the aircraft is set to the off position (OFF). Check if the battery wires are loose.

Unit starts with a preheat of 50 seconds.

13. Engine startup duration must not exceed 15 seconds. Once the engine starts successfully, immediately return the key switch to the running position.

14. After engine start-up, the engine idles for 2 minutes.

After startup, check if the voltage and speed are normal, without any abnormal sounds or leaks, then the switch can be closed to supply power.

Section II: Generator Set Normal Operation Inspection

1. Inspect the engine's operating status every hour and record its operation. Check that all instruments are functioning properly, and ensure that alarm indicators are normal.

Engine oil levels should be checked every 8 hours of continuous operation, and operation records should be filled out.

Engines should not be started until the cause of the alarm is identified and a running record is made.

4. Minimize low-load or no-load operation, with no-load operation limited to 10 minutes or less.

Section 3: Shutdown Inspection

1. Turn off the main switch. Before shutting down, allow the engine to run at no load for a few minutes to cool the turbocharger and prevent harmful "secondary boiling."

2. Press the normal shutdown button or turn the key to the "OFF" position until the engine stops rotating.

3. When not in use for several days, the main power switch should be in the "OFF" position (do not disconnect the switch if the automatic start engine unit is in use), and any battery cables must not be disconnected after the engine unit starts upon engine activation; otherwise, the voltage regulator and charger may be damaged.

Routine Maintenance

Check the crankcase oil level; if it's low, add oil as necessary.

2. Inspect for any leakage in the oil pump, water pump, filters, and all connections; if any leaks are found, they should be eliminated.

Ensure the fuel tank is adequately filled with fuel; top up if necessary.

4. Inspect the stability of the bolt connections on the diesel engine mount and its accessories.

5. Inspect whether the instrument connectors are loose and if the pointers have returned to zero.

6. Verify the operation mechanism for its flexibility, accuracy, and reliability.

7. Inspect the tension of each triangular drive belt to ensure it's appropriate; adjust if necessary.

Maintain a clean engine room for diesel engines.
