Concrete CanvasNcrete cloth is a soft fabric impregnated with cement that hardens into a thin, durable waterproof and fire-resistant concrete layer upon contact with water. This product is a patented innovation, protected by various international institutions including the "World Intellectual Property Organization" and the "United States Patent and Trademark Office." The patent numbers include "CA 2655054," "EP 2027319," "GB 2455008," and "WO 2010/086618," among others.

Abroad, in the product descriptions of some building materials companies, concrete canvas is described as a 3D fibre matrix woven from polyethylene and polypropylene filaments, containing dry concrete mixtures with a special formula.Aluminate cement, primarily composed of Al2O3, CaO, SiO2, and Fe2O3, is used in our concrete mix. The canvas base is lined with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to ensure complete waterproofing for the concrete canvas.

The concept of concrete canvas was first introduced by British individuals Brewin and Crawford in 2004, as detailed in relevant academic papers. Over the years, foreign building material companies have engaged in research and production, and have extensively applied it in areas such as agricultural irrigation channels, industrial and residential drainage ditches, railway embankment drainage channels, and highway drainage systems.

February 8, 2011 - In Caerphilly County, Wales, a coal mine deployed bulk rolls of concrete canvas to prevent runoff of废弃 coal slag from eroding drainage ditches, covering an area of 2,000 square meters.

From "The Structural and Performance Characteristics of Concrete Canvas," we learn that during on-site construction, no concrete mixing equipment is required. Simply water the concrete canvas or immerse it in water to initiate hydration. After curing, the fibers reinforce the concrete, preventing cracking.

Compared to traditional concrete usage, the article "Structural and Performance Characteristics of Concrete Canvas" delves into the advantages of concrete canvas. These include ease of use, rapid curing and shaping, environmental friendliness, and flexible application. Concrete canvas produced by foreign manufacturers is available in large rolls for bulk supply or in rolls for easy manual handling and transportation, without the need for heavy lifting equipment. The concrete is scientifically mixed off-site, eliminating the risk of overhydration.

Once hydration occurs, concrete canvas can be processed for necessary shaping and sizing within 2 hours, and it reaches 80% of its strength within 24 hours. It can also be customized to achieve rapid or delayed setting according to specific user requirements. The UK Rail Network Operator specified the use of concrete canvas for reinforcing a railway embankment. The repair of a 100-meter-long drainage ditch was completed in less than 8 hours.

Additionally, a foreign building materials company has developed concrete canvas shelters tailored to customer needs. These are rapid-deployment hardened shelters that can be constructed with just water and air.

Overall, hailed by some domestic WeMedia as a "wonder tool" independently invented in our country, a similar product was actually invented over a decade ago, applied for relevant patents, and has been used to varying degrees worldwide.
